Hexxa Flexible Packaging LLC, a growing printer in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, recently took delivery of their first MPS flexo press. Purchased was a 10-color, 430mm EF multi-substrate press equipped with the advanced Automated Print Control (APC) package for full automation, UV dryers and four hot air units. This marks the first MPS sale into the UAE.

Hexxa is a printing company that specializes in printing and converting of flexible packaging, mainly using rotogravure printing technology. With their new MPS flexo press, Hexxa will achieve higher productivity in shorter print runs. Offered by Hexxa are PVC and PET shrink sleeves, OPP labels, solventless laminates up to three layers, and a range of film required for the food, beverage and cosmetic industry. Since their inception in 2006, the company has shown steady growth and recently invested in larger premises in Ras al Khaimah. Customers of Hexxa include a number of reputable brands such as PepsiCo, Danone Morocco, Nestlé, Kraft, Heinz Africa & Middle East and Coca Cola Kuwait.

Initial introductions to MPS were made by Anoop, the local MPS representative for the Middle East, at Labelexpo Europe 2015. Raja Gandhi, Managing Director and owner of Hexxa Flexible Packaging said: “We needed a narrow web flexo press to offer more competitive prices on shorter print runs. With MPS’ focus on the operator, a full-service interactive training program for Hexxa’s press operators was included in the press purchase. New to flexo, the operators were fully trained and operating the new EF multi-substrate press in just days.
